epiGenesys collaborated with the study team from the Universities of Sheffield and Leeds to determine the best format for digitally implementing the myMNDgenetest decision aids. They are presented within a purposefully simple and straightforward interactive web-based application, with online and offline aids enabling enhanced user convenience.
The aids help individuals think about their values and options around genetic testing in motor neuron disease (MND), and enable discussions with family, and health professionals. The
Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA) funded the underpinning research project, and use of the digital aids will further disseminate the project findings, thus contributing to improved patient-centered care.
