myMNDgenetest Decision Aids

epiGenesys collaborated with the study team from the Universities of Sheffield and Leeds to determine the best format for digitally implementing the myMNDgenetest decision aids. They are presented within a purposefully simple and straightforward interactive web-based application, with online and offline aids enabling enhanced user convenience.

The aids help individuals think about their values and options around genetic testing in motor neuron disease (MND), and enable discussions with family, and health professionals. The Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA) funded the underpinning research project, and use of the digital aids will further disseminate the project findings, thus contributing to improved patient-centered care.

  • Online and Offline Functionality: Supports access to the decision aids online or download for offline use.
  • Personalised Notes: Enables users to capture key points and observations while navigating different sections of the decision aid, and download them as a PDF for later reference.
  • Collaborative Development: Provides a UI and UX that support users with diverse abilities, guided by WCAG accessibility principles.
