Positions Available: We are hiring one person at regular or senior level.
We are seeking a diligent and proactive Product Manager who is passionate about solving problems and building solutions that meet our customers' needs. Our product managers work alongside our project managers and software engineers on web applications that make a real difference, in areas ranging from data management for clinical trials to supply chain development for green energy.
Collaborating with customers to understand their problems, find opportunities and propose solutions.
Turning conversations into user stories that record goals and acceptance criteria.
Creating experience maps, flowcharts and mockups to capture and share knowledge and ideas.
Giving constructive feedback on software as it is developed and advocating for users.
Analysing feedback from customers and users to identify improvements and refine roadmaps.
Monitoring and forecasting income, and growing it by creating new products and finding new customers.
Sharing your expertise with colleagues, and possibly teaching students in Genesys, our student-led software development organisation.
Required Skills and Experience
You can quickly understand customer workflows, ask insightful questions and validate ideas.
You can make well-reasoned decisions that demonstrate attention to detail, with an ability to add customer value.
You are able to advise, support and negotiate with customers at all levels of an organisation.
You can devise cost-effective roadmaps, manage associated risks and implement strategic pricing.
You are comfortable with business software including email, presentations, spreadsheets and word processing.
You can work effectively with both customers and colleagues in a friendly and professional manner using good verbal and written communication skills.
You are educated to degree level in a suitable discipline, or have equivalent experience.
Desirable Skills and Experience
You have worked in the health research and/or higher education sectors.
You are accustomed to working with agile software engineering teams.

£25,000-£29,000 per annum.
£31,000-£35,000 per annum.
40 days (28 days, plus bank holidays and four closure days).
44 days (32 days, plus bank holidays and four closure days).
£1,500 per annum.
£2,000 per annum.
Company scheme with matched contributions (5% of salary).
Full time, Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week (excluding lunch). Part time and compressed hours can be considered.
Permanent, subject to six months probationary period.

Two months (one month during probationary period).
